Creating Inclusive Communities in Montessori Programs
Event Description:The PNMA 2019 Winter Event will include presentations and workshops geared to inspire teachers and staff at all levels. Choose from two different full-day sessions that will be sure to provide you with insights, strategies, and tools for supporting all students and families in your community. Elementary Trainer, Alison Awes, will present on Supporting the Dyslexic Child in the Montessori Environment. Other experts in the field of early childhood special education will provide a variety of presentations geared toward Early Interventions and Navigating the System.

Track A: Supporting the Dyslexic Child in a Montessori EnvironmentAn enriching presentation from Elementary Trainer Alison Awes ideal for Primary & Elementary Teachers
Ms. Awes is an AMI examiner and has presented a number of workshops, including those on making books with children and supporting the dyslexic child in a Montessori environment. She has served on the boards of private and charter Montessori schools and other organizations, including the AMI Elementary Alumni Association. In addition, Ms. Awes attended Montessori schools until the age of twelve.
Track B: Early Interventions - Navigating the SystemA variety of presentations from experts in the field of early childhood special education, meaningful for all levels of educators. More details about this full-day session at www.pnma.org.
