Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Pay: $21/hour

Start Date: End of August 2025 (School Year Position)

Mosaic Montessori is seeking a kind, dependable Lunch Assistant to join our inclusive, nature-based Montessori school. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys a peaceful rhythm, loves working with children, and thrives in a supportive team environment.

What You’ll Do:

Support children during snack and lunch transitions

Provide short breaks for teaching staff throughout the midday period

Help with light cleaning tasks (dishes, laundry, tidying the kitchen)

Maintain a calm and supportive environment that centers children's needs

Be a warm, reliable presence in our community

Daily Responsibilities Include:

Collecting and washing snack dishes

Starting laundry and switching loads

Giving staff scheduled breaks

Helping lunch in classrooms

Keeping the kitchen organized and clean

Weekly & Monthly Tasks:

Deep-clean kitchen sinks and surfaces

Restock soap and supplies

Clean out the refrigerator and check expiration dates

Run appliance cleaning cycles (washer/dishwasher)

Requirements:

CPR/First Aid Certification

Food Handler’s Permit (can be obtained after hire)

Experience working with or around children

WA State background check clearance

A joyful, calm, and collaborative attitude
