Montessori for the 21st Century: Outcomes and Implementation presented by Dr. Angeline Lillard. Dr. Angeline Lillard is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Virginia. Her primary research interests include pretend play and Montessori education. She has been studying Montessori’s methods for more than two decades. In her best-selling book Montessori: The Science behind the Genius, Dr. Lillard presents Montessori’s theoretical principles, the science research that has followed them, and how they are implemented in a Montessori classroom. Dr. Lillard is also interested in the development of theory of mind, children's executive function, children and media, neuroplasticity, contemplative practices, and culture and development.
The conference includes 28 workshops with topics suitable for teachers from Early Childhood to Secondary level and opportunities to share and discuss daily practice. Additional presenters and topics:
