Description: CCM is located in the heart of Kenmore. We have Three classes with 16 students each. We celebrate cultures and traditions from around the world. Cosmic education is an integral part of our curriculum.

In this position you will be using your skills of observation following the lead of the child to prepare a safe and integrative Montessori classroom environment, preparing materials and activities, managing the upkeep of the classroom including replenishing and change of materials as well as tidiness, overseeing Assistant Teachers, conducting circles and small group presentations as well as individual lessons, record keeping, generating progress reports, holding parent-teacher conferences, communicating with the administrators/teachers (your team as well as the team in the other class) and parents, developing curriculum for the three year cycle in collaboration with other teachers, participating in staff meetings, and planning, and participating in school events, etc.

Pays attention to individual, small group needs while being aware of the class as a whole.

Has a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and how to implement it in various situations as they occur.

Committed to best practices in education.

Stays informed with latest research in the field of child development, specifically for ages 2 1/2-6 years

Knows Positive Discipline or is willing to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Montessori Early Childhood Teaching Credential from an AMS or AMI-recognized training center.

Bachelor’s degree.

Commitment to professional development (minimum of 10 hours per year).

Has or is willing to complete state requirements including but not limited to DCYF background check, TB test, High school diploma, Childcare basics, First Aid/ CPR, Blood-borne pathogens training, and other licensed employment criteria.

SALARY/BENEFITS:

Salary range is $55K per Year dependent on education, training, and experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, paid time off, paid holidays, retirement plan
