Description: Early Childhood Teaching Assistant

Eyas Global Montessori is located in Southeast Bellevue. We have two classes and two playgrounds. The staff works together as a team with an attitude of “let’s do it.” We are looking for a Teacher Assistant Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM (with some flexibility in the ending time)

Requirements:

Enjoy having active interactions with children and be mindful of their physical, social, and emotional needs.

CPR / First aid, background check.

Applicants must be able to legally work in the USA.

Willingness to get trained and be an active part of the teaching team.

Familiarity with Montessori education is a plus but not required, as is knowledge of Spanish or Mandarin.

Daily tasks will include:

– Setting up the classroom for the day

– Playground supervision

– Assisting with snack, doing the overview and assisting students with art and practical life activities

– Observation and record keeping

– Classroom cleanup, sanitizing, and “closing” procedures

– Following safety procedures and supervision of children

_ Assisting with toileting

_ Monitoring hand washing

In addition, you will be working as a part of the teaching team sharing your observations and insight with your team.
