Description: Pacific Crest School in Seattle, WA, is currently seeking an AMI trained Primary guide to step into a well established classroom in mid February of 2023 while the lead guide is on parental leave through the end of June. This timing includes 2-4 weeks of lead time to support observation time and a careful transition. This classroom has 22 children ages 3 - 6 years old, with a fairly even distribution of ages. The classroom is supported by two assistants in the morning and one in the afternoon.
In our 36th year, we are a well established community of dedicated families and staff who strive to create a vibrant Montessori school community from the primary years through young adolescence. Our urban campus is home to all three levels. We’re located in a residential neighborhood in Seattle, WA, where we are easily accessible by bike and local transit. Our 19 acre rural farm campus on Vashon Island is utilized by all three levels and is a working farm with nut and fruit orchards, ponds, wetlands, and commercially productive sustainable gardens. Our AMI and equity rooted classrooms and community nurture independence, self discipline and joy to support the fullest development of every child and make real peace and justice possible.

AMI Primary diploma and teaching experience, preferably 3 - 10 or more years

Completion of post high school learning, including 2 or 4 year degrees and beyond
