The State Training and Registry System (STARS) is a career development system for child care providers. The Department of Early Learning (DEL) oversees STARS, which supports quality child care through basic and ongoing training.

On April 1, 2010, DEL took the STARS database off-line to build a more robust and user-friendly tool. The Managed Education and Registry Information Tool (MERIT) replaces the STARS database as the place to house information on STARS-approved trainings and training organizations. Child care providers and other early learning professionals can now search MERIT for available trainers and training organizations.

PNMA will maintain our system of reporting for STARS and providing certificates. You will be asked to provide your STARS # during on line registration and verify the # at the event check-in.
